About
I believe therapy is a collaborative effort, based on treating each client as an individual with specific needs and empowering clients through education and self-discovery. My approach is non-judgemental, culturally competent, strength based and I empower you to discover your own solutions by utilizing evidence based approaches. My specializations include working with clients who suffer from issues related to self-esteem/self-worth, relationship conflict, racial adversities, microaggressions within the workplace, maternal issues and adjustment disorders.
I am a BIPOC enthusiastic Licensed Mental Health Counselor, driven by overcoming the stigma of mental health in disadvantaged communities. I am experienced in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy and mindfulness interventions. I have 16 years experience working under OPWDD.
