About
I am a Licensed Master's of Social Work in New York, with a deep commitment to helping individuals on their journeys toward better mental and emotional well-being. I work with a collaborative, strengths-based approach; assisting and supporting clients to be the expert of their own lives.
I typically work with young to middle-aged adults experiencing anxiety, self-esteem issues, family issues, trauma, and difficulties with boundary setting. I also work within relationship issues including supporting clients who are recently coming out of a relationship or learning how to nurture a new relationship. In addition, I am passionate about helping people work through various life transitions, such as going into the job force, adjusting to new living arrangements and those struggling to create a work-life balance.
I utilize a diverse range of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy with a focus on the client as a whole person. Through my approach, I hope to help clients utilize their own inner resources to overcome challenges, better understand their core belief system to increase self-awareness, and heal past experiences while using them to empower clients and encourage them to tell their story. I also incorporate practical skills, such as the utilization of breath work, for client’s to carry with them on the day to day to minimize dysregulation and minimize stress.
I like to be genuine in the therapy process, serving as a supportive, safe, warm and calm figure for my clients. I love helping people in a way that there is no pressure and creating a relaxed, genuine atmosphere in the room while focusing on the client’s goals. My ultimate goal is to help individuals reach their highest potential and live more harmonious and happier lives.
