About

I am a Licensed Master’s of Social Work, licensed in New York State, experienced in the following treatment modalities including Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), depending on the needs of each client.

My areas of specialty lean towards clients struggling with anxiety, depression, marital issues, school-related anxiety, grief, complicated family dynamics, boundary setting, self-esteem, trauma, and adjustment disorders. I also work with clients experiencing OCD, using Exposure-Response Prevention (ERP) to assist with improving their quality of life and relationships.

I have previous experience working with the populations traumatized by ethnic cleansing across several generations, which present a unique and complex trauma experience which is very hard to shift, and leaves indelible marks for generations to come.

Drawing on the framework of ACT, I collaborate with my clients to be present with the current moment and accept their situation without judgment. Along with that, I strive to offer practical solutions in the here and now, creating goals and engaging in solution-building skills using SFT. I enjoy engaging in quarterly progress reviews with the clients to help them internalize the progress that they are making and better understand what is working for them within therapy. I am also passionate about creating a mind-body connection within the therapeutic space, often leaning on meditation techniques and breathwork to reduce symptoms.

I greatly appreciate and care about the work that I do with my clients and enjoy the process of growth that we experience together. I value meeting the client where they are at, empathizing with them and holding their hand through their journey of growth.
