Bryanna Copeland, Social Work Intern

About

I am a dedicated Social Work intern providing telehealth services in NYS. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges and promote mental wellness. I am drawn to working with those experiencing stress, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family dynamics as well as topics pertaining to maternal mental health.

As an amputee, I have firsthand experience with the physical and emotional challenges that come with significant life changes and am passionate about working with clients experiencing various life transitions. This journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of resilience and adaptability, which I incorporate into my therapeutic practice. I am committed to helping others who face similar challenges by offering support and strategies to empower them in their healing processes.

I believe in a strengths-based approach, focusing on the unique strengths and resilience of each individual. I work collaboratively with clients to set achievable goals and develop practical strategies for overcoming obstacles. I also incorporate DBT into my work with clients.

While pursuing my Master’s in Social Work at Long Island University, I also volunteer with the Amputee Coalition of America as a peer mentor, providing information and support for individuals who either have a limb loss or are about to undergo limb loss.

Together, we can work towards achieving your goals and improving your overall well-being. I look forward to the opportunity to connect!
